Try “Capture screenshot” or “Share a file” above. This demo stays in your browser.

The shortest path
from “look at this”
to “got it.”

You’re in the middle of something. Sharing it shouldn’t become another thing. DROPR lives in your menu bar, ready when you are.

  1. Catch what you mean.

Use a shortcut and select an area of your screen. Or share a file from Finder, or drop one onto the menu bar icon.

  2. Let DROPR take it from here.

Your file uploads in the background. Once it’s ready, the public link is copied automatically. Your original stays right where it is.

  3. Paste. Carry on.

Drop the link into your conversation, email, or document. Anyone can open it. No account needed on the other end.

Give your files
a good landing.

What you send should look as considered as the work itself. Every link opens a simple preview with the original file a click away.

Images, Markdown, videos, ZIPs, and the rest. A useful preview when possible. A straightforward download when it isn’t.

Small app.
Thoughtful details.

The parts you notice once. And appreciate every time.

Small links. Full context.

A short link to paste anywhere. Your original filename stays on the preview and download. Every new upload gets its own link, so a revision never quietly replaces an earlier file.

A failed upload isn’t lost work.

DROPR keeps the file for retry and leaves your clipboard alone until publication succeeds. Carry on, then try again when you’re ready.

Upload interrupted. Ready to retry.

Your files. Your call.

Find and delete shared files in your account. Published links stay available until you delete them. Files are public, so keep confidential work off the link.

A few things
to know.

What is DROPR?

DROPR is a native Mac menu bar app for sharing screenshots and individual files. Capture or choose a file, let it upload, and paste the public link that DROPR copies for you.

Do people need an account to open my links?

No. Anyone with the link can open the public preview and download the file in their browser, on a Mac, phone, or PC.

Which files can I share?

Individual files, including images, Markdown documents, MP4 videos, ZIP archives, and other file types. Images and Markdown have previews. Compatible videos play in the browser; other files have a download. DROPR doesn’t upload folders or batches.

Are my shared files private?

No. Uploaded files are public. Short links aren’t passwords, and DROPR doesn’t offer password protection. Don’t upload confidential or sensitive material.

How long do links last?

Successfully published files stay available until you delete them. Deleting a file removes its DROPR link, but it can’t recall copies someone has already downloaded.

Can I download the Mac app now?

The Mac app is being prepared for public distribution. You can create a Free account now. A signed public download will be available once the Mac release is ready.
